Who We Are

Heather Heren

President/Founder

Hi, my name is Heather Heren and I am the founder and president of Moe Moe’s Rescue of the Rockies. I live in the Denver, Colorado area and founded Moe Moe’s here in 2016. After being involved with other rescues for about 4 years, I decided I wanted to build my own team of rescuers in the name of my first bulldog. (#InMollysName) When I started out in rescue, I was fostering special needs dogs. Then I began helping out with fundraising and before I knew it I ended up several special needs bulldogs of my own. I have always had a passion for the underdog and find rescuing special needs dogs to be very rewarding to my heart. I work fulltime in the construction business as a Construction Coordinator.

It requires me to be very organized and I try to utilize that skill with Moe Moe’s as well. Thankfully, I have an army of volunteers behind me to help run the rescue, which is no easy task. On a more personal level, I believe I am a simple girl; I enjoy watching movies (at home of course) and going out to dinner however, my greatest joy is spending as much time as I can with my four legged kids. I currently have Pebbles, an 8 year old English Bulldog with no special needs but an attitude to take on just about anything. Dino is my 7 year old English Bulldog with Spina Bifida. Rhett is my next boy, he is 3 years old and also is a Spina Bifida English Bulldog. He keeps everything comical in our house with his jovial behavior. That leaves the Diva, Betty, who is affectionately known as Lil Bit. She is 2 years old, also a Spina Bifida English Bulldog, but with limited mobility of her back legs. This by no means keeps her divaness at bay, she is convinced she is the queen of all. I have fostered and owned so many that it would take pages to list, but they each hold a special little place in my heart.

Jenn Parman

Vice President

Hi, My name is Jenn Parman and I am the vice-president of Moe Moe’s. I have been a part of Moe Moe’s from the start and am pleased to see it grow year after year. I live in the Central Valley of California. I am a third grade teacher in a small rural community that still holds a homecoming parade through the town. I am also the owner of a Screenprint and Embroidery shop. With my two jobs and Moe Moe’s, I keep pretty busy but I still find time for the things I love… I love to travel, I am working on checking off all fifty states. I also love to bake. I am a member of Soroptimist International and love to give back to my community. Most of all I love dogs. Currently I have Madeline, a nine year old French Bulldog; and Molly, a rescue from Moe Moe’s that is approximately three years old who we believe is a Bully Boxer mix. In June of 2019 I lost Sadie, my thirteen year old English Bulldog and prior to that in February, I lost PopTart, my two year old French Bulldog.

PopTart was diagnosed with NM-Dilated Cardiomyopathy. #PopTartsLegacy has been a way for me to work through the loss and also help others learn about the importance of proper nutrition. Thank You for visiting our page, we welcome you to become part of the Moe Moe’s Family.

Allison Belfonti

Adoption Coordinator

I’ve been involved in rescue for almost 20 years and our family has fostered over 70 dogs.
I got involved with special needs dogs during that period and adopted our fiat special needs baby (shown in the pic) almost 6 years ago. Our second special needs baby arrived this past October. There is something special about these babies for sure.

I love with my family in eastern Pennsylvania in a small town in the mountains. When I’m not doing rescue I am a domestic goddess raising 3 boys and 5 dogs. On beautiful days we can be found outside enjoying the creek, parks, canal, falling leaves, chasing grasshoppers and playing in the snow.

April Zemyan

Events Coordinator

I love bulldogs, really all dogs, and all cats, let’s be honest I love all animals. I have been volunteering with Moe Moe’s for a little less than a year and enjoy helping as much as I can. I have worked in the non profit industry for more than 7 years in marketing and more recently events. My hope for Moe Moe’s is to get each pup a home! You’ll catch me researching places to partner with for events and fundraising for Moe Moe’s and posting occasionally on social channels.

Heidi Heinrich

I am the mom to four bulldogs and two were adopted from Moe Moe’s Rescue. I have volunteered with several nonprofits over the years, including environmental, pets and human rights originations. I love the work Moe Moe’s does to find homes for special needs dogs which inspired me to volunteer with them.
